Titan Soccer Duo Wins Bronze at Pan Am Games
August 15, 2003 – Fullerton, Calif.

Cal State Fullerton senior midfielder Nadia Hernandez (Pomona, Calif.) and sophomore defender Marlene Sandoval (Placentia, Calif.) will be bringing home bronze medals to Southern California after helping Mexico defeat Argentina, 4-1, in the third-place match at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The duo also spent the summer helping Mexico in its attempt to qualify for the 2003 Women's World Cup.

Cal State Fullerton opens its 2003 season with an exhibition against the Mexican National Team on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m., and begins the regular season on Monday, Sept. 1, at 3 p.m. against Fairleigh Dickinson.
