Wilson Named to Soccer Buzz All-Region Squad
Jan. 29, 2004 – Fullerton, Calif.

Cal State Fullerton sophomore forward Kandace Wilson was named to the All-West Region Third Team on Thursday afternoon as announced by Soccer Buzz, an Internet magazine devoted entirely to women's college soccer.

Wilson, who was also one of three underclassmen named to the All-Big West First Team in November, 2003, finished the season with a team-high 10 goals and three assists (23 points) to finish in the top three in the league in five different categories at the end of the regular season.

She becomes the third player in school history to make the Soccer Buzz all-region list, joining midfielder Tennli Ulicny (3rd team) in 2001 and goalkeeper Karen Bardsley (2nd team) in 2002.

Wilson already ranks sixth on the career scoring list with 40 points, fourth in career goals (17), fifth in career shots (86), and tied for second in career game-winning goals (6). Last season, the Titans were 7-0-1 when Wilson scored a goal.

Despite a rash of injuries to a core group of some the team's top players, Cal State Fullerton finished the 2003 season with a 9-8-2 overall record, including a win over nationally-ranked Clemson and a pair of ties to Santa Clara and Cal Poly - both ranked in various top 25 polls at the time of the match.

Fullerton was 3-5-1 in the Big West to finish in a tie for seventh with Pacific.
