A standout player for the Jaguars, Acevedo was the team’s co-captain as a freshman in 2000, finishing the year with 11 goals • was team captain as a sophomore, scoring nine goals on the year.

CENTRAL UNION HS
Played four years of soccer and ran cross-country and track all four years for the Spartans • named Most Improved Player as a freshman • was a three-time All-Imperial Valley League and All-CIF honoree from her sophomore to senior seasons • finished those three seasons with 63 goals scored • all-league in both cross-country and track, she won IVL titles in the 400m, 4x400m, and 800m in her career.

PERSONAL
Born June 17, 1982, in El Centro • Parents are David and Cathy • has a sister, Anabel, and a brother, David • her sister played soccer at Orange Coast College while her father played soccer at Chico State • also considered attending UC Riverside, Arizona and Alliant University.
