Soccer Coaches
A former goalkeeper for the Cal State Fullerton mens soccer team, Alexander returns to the pitch for his third season with the womens squad. Alexanders main responsibility will be working with the Titan goalkeepers throughout the season. A four-year letterwinner for head coach Al Mistri, Alexander completed his career in a Titan uniform after the 2000 season. As a senior, Alexander appeared in only one match, making one save in 45 minutes of play. He shined as a junior when he was thrust into a starting role after an injury to Sean Rockwell. Alexander posted a 12-5 record in net for Cal State Fullerton, posting five shutouts and making 51 saves while notching a 1.197 goals against average. In 1998, Alexander appeared in six matches, starting five as the Titan keeper. He posted a 4-1 record with a 1.200 GAA to go along with a shutout and 18 saves. As a freshman, Alexander appeared in three matches, two as a starter, and made nine saves on the season to go with a 2.074 GAA. Alexander was a three-year soccer letterwinner for Hemet HS in Hemet, Calif., earning league MVP, first-team all-league and team MVP honors during his senior season. He also earned first-team all-league honors and team MVP honors as a junior. In addition, Alexander played club soccer for the San Diego Surf and was selected as the MVP of the summer Riverside County vs. San Bernardino County All-Star Game. His coaching credits include training the goalkeepers for the 86 Girls Cal South ODP team. He continues to train with the Los Angeles Galaxy of MLS and spent the summer of 2003 playing for the A-League El Paso Patriots, appearing in 20 matches with a 1.40 GAA, four shutouts and 79 saves on the season. Born on Feb. 27, 1979, in Hemet, Calif., Alexander graduated from the university with a bachelors degree in philosophy in 2002. His parents are David and Jeanette and he has one brother, Brian.
