Wyoming's Marcy Adetoye scored the match's lone goal in the 28th minute
and goalkeeper Ashley Sheppard made eight saves in the shutout as the
Cowgirls defeated visiting Cal State Fullerton, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon
in Laramie, Wyo.
The Titans fell to 3-6 overall on the season while the Cowgirls improved
to 5-2-3 on the year.
Fullerton out shot Wyoming, 17-16, including 11-7 in the second half,
and had an 11-3 advantage in corner kicks. Junior Kellie Cox led the Titans
with four shots on the day while three other Fullerton players had three.
The Titans return to action this weekend as they open Big West Conference
play on Oct. 1 against UC Riverside at 7 p.m. at Titan Stadium. ####
