Titan Men
Finish Third at UCR Invite; Women are 5th SEPT. 22, 2001 – Riverside, Calif. Daniel Cobian and Bryce Lighthall paced Cal State Fullerton to a third-place finish Saturday at the UC Riverside Cross Country Invitational. Cobina finished sixth overall and fourth among collegians in a time of 25:52.1 for the 8K course while Lighthall was eighth (sixth collegiately) in 25:58.5. Claremont -Mudd-Scripps took first place with 92 points followed by Cal State San Marcos at 99 and the Titans at 101, with host UCR fourth at 110. In women's competition, UC Irvine bested Cal State Northridge for team honors. The Titans were fifth with 203 points paced by Danielle Hernandez, who was 18th among collegians. The Titans will split their squad this weekend with the "A" group competing in the Stanford Invitational Saturday afternoon in Palo Alto.
