Cal State San Marcos Shines at CSF Invitational OCT. 25, 2002 Brea, Calif.
Cal State San Marcos won the men's competition and was runnerup to UCLA
in the women's race Friday afternoon at the 2002 Titan Cross Country Invitational
at Carbon Canyon Park in Brea.
San Marcos' Rene Reyes was the top collegiate runner and teammate Robby
McClendon ran third.
In the women's race, UCLA took five of the top six spots led by front
runner Valerie Flores.
Host Cal State Fullerton ran fifth in the women's race and did not enter
a men's team. Catie Garrett was the first Titan to finish, running 22nd
among collegians. The Big West Conference championships are next weekend
at UC Riverside.
